The Need of The Hour

Dear Readers,

How far that little candle throws its beams!
So shines a good deed in a naughty world.
- Shakespeare.

Homoeopathy was born with criticisms. It was a poor man's child. Way back in the year 1811, Hahnemann wrote a reply to the critics of Organon and Homoeopathy & now, two centuries ahead, we are still at the receiving end and are forced to write similar replies to similar Heckerian criticisms.

The recent Lancet's noisy claim and its echoes in various journals all over the world has in fact strengthened the bond between the homoeopathic lovers and the large number of patients who have been benefited by homoeopathy. The renowned Cardiologist and former Vice - Chancellor Dr. Prof. B.M. Hegde has written an article " In Defence of homoeopathy” in The Bhavan's Journal - Nov 15th issue. He has rejected the Lancet Meta - analysis saying that the study groups are totally dissimilar and not comparable with scientific precision. The Deccan Chronicle 20th Nov. covered extensively the Mark Wakefield's examination of evidence. It is realistic and also hinted to the homoeopaths as to what is expected from them.

As the controversy has spread its tentacles, it has created some doubts about homoeopathy in the science conscious society. NOW is THE time for the homoeopaths to wake up to the call given by the scientific community. Give them the evidence they want. Majority of us are doing good job and bringing out wonderful results every day. Maintain the perfect treatment record of every case with honesty and publish the results as they are. Put your heart, mind, intellect and soul even to your smallest acts. The evidence-based homoeopathy is the need of the hour.
