Taking the lead from the Government's positive approach, some additional measures can be thought of by the Homoeopathic institutions, organizations and bodies in extending and expanding this kind of programme. This can be done in different ways. The organizations could carry out awareness programmes in fields other than Maternal and Child health at different levels in the form of camps, on-going clinics, etc.

    Homoeopaths and Homoeopathic organizations could have a tie up with mainstream Hospitals and conduct such camps or programmes by showing evidence based documents on the effectiveness of Homoeopathy in various disciplines. Recently Apollo College of Nursing, Chennai conducted a symposium on integrating the AYUSH systems with mainstream medicine and was well received. Homoeopaths, in collaboration with practitioners of other systems of medicine could arrange forums for such interaction.

    Major companies in the corporate sector like manufacturing industries, software majors, etc. could always be approached for such collaboration as they have a large stakeholder base. Corporate social responsibility is an ongoing programme in all major companies and they would definitely lend an ear to positive ideas.

    Good communication channels should be established for effective dissemination of such programmes. One can easily imagine how rapidly we can spread the system far and wide when there is effective interaction among all concerned.
