BANGALORE .DEC.2009: Soukya Foundation Charitable Trust announced that it has signed a MoU with National Institute of Homoeopathy (NIH), an autonomous institution under the Department of AYUSH, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, to support Centre of Excellence in Homoeopathy for Respiratory Diseases. The first such centre in South India, it will work on preventing and treating respiratory diseases through homoeopathy. Dr. EswaraDas, Director, NIH signed the MoU with Dr. Isaac Mathai, Medical Director and Managing Trustee of Soukya Foundation, and Dr. Sudha, Chief Physician, SAHAYA in the presence of Mrs. Jalaja I A S, Secretary, Department of AYUSH and Mr. R.Anand, IAS Joint Secretary, Department of AYUSH.
Dr. Eswara Das, Director NIH said, “The partnership and the new centre which will be the first in South India would increase the out reach of this traditional form of medicine to people suffering from respiratory problems of various hues. We look forward to this partnership growing from strength to strength.”
