Vinayaka Mission’s Homoeopathic Medical College Salem is a constituent College of Vinayaka Missions University was established in the year 1988 for imparting Homoeopathic Medical education including clinical training and offering BHMS Degree course. In the year 2002 Central Council of Homoeopathy, New Delhi, granted permission to start M D (Hom) courses in all seven specialties (Materia Medica, Organon and Homoeopathic Philosophy, Repertory, Homoeopathic Pharmacy, Practice of Medicine, Paediatrics and Psychiatry ) appreciating the high level of academic standard and excellent infrastructural facilities in the college.

         The management has provided the best infrastructural facilities and most qualified and well experienced teaching and Non- teaching staff members for the college. The college commends a great respect and reputation among the public and Homoeopathic professionals in Tamilnadu and other parts of India and also abroad. The undergraduate degree BHMS and the post graduate degree MD (hom) Degree in seven disciplines are being awarded by Vinayaka Missions University which is recognized by the central and state governments.

       Dr.N.Subramanian, Dr.Elango, Dr, Sumathy, and Dr.P.K.Sudhir served as principal to this college and now Dr.A.Nagarajan continues his service as a head of this institution. Dr.E.S Rajendran also served as Dean of the college earlier, positions now as Director of the college.
