     We select according to the susceptibility of a patient. Normally we use 200 C in acute cases and in chronic we select higher potencies, normally 1m and so on…we do prescribe Bio chemic in low potency. Mag. Phos IM had given wonderful results in abdominal colic. LM potency we rarely use….

     . . .prescribing only LM potencies. In my opinion, it is the safest method in dealing with acute as well as chronic, because it can applied frequently according to the severity of sufferings and brings no medicinal aggravation.

In case of acute diseases, I administer low potency, i.e. LM/1 or LM/2 or LM/3 and in case of chronic frequently I administer LM/3 except in the cases of hypersensitive and young persons. But during usage of ‘Nosodes’, generally I apply LM/6 potency in cases of adult patients to avoid the “toxic effect” of the medicines.

     In acute case I use higher potencies. I usually prefer lower potencies in chronic cases because the vitality is low. In acute exerbations of a chronic disease I use lower potencies or higher potencies based on the susceptability. If needed I use mother tinctures symptomatically.

     …Susceptibility of the patient, the age and the nature of the person will be taken into consideration. Children who have not been immunized, who are not so much under allopathic treatment are considered by me as highly susceptible and elderly patients are considered as having lower susceptibility.

     More over in the totality if very characteristic symptoms such as prominent mental or other physical generals in craving or aversion or thirst or sleep is present then I consider that high susceptibility and give high potency; otherwise a medium or low potency. I consider whether the patient is on allopathic treatment, especially if the person is on steroids. If steroids were used then I would use a lower potency. Fresh case requires higher potency.

     If it is acute case associated with very high fever, I go for the highest potency and the repetition will be also very often. In chronic cases I start the case with a lower or medium potency. Sometimes I choose potencies on miasmatic activity, higher potencies for psoric patients, medium potency for sycotic or tubercular patients, Low potency for syphilitic patients.

     If the symptoms are very clear our medicines will work in all potencies. I use higher potencies for the Executives and Mental workers, where as I prescribe lower potencies for children and manual workers. Usually highest similarity calls for high potency. In acute cases I use medium potency normally 30C.

     In acute cases I use higher potencies usually 200C, repeat it every two hours until the complaints get normal. While treating chronic diseases I use higher potencies 200 to 1 M but I don’t repeat often, I prescribe six doses followed with SL. Some times I use LM potencies to avoid aggravations. I rarely use Mother tinctures in Asthma, Hypertension and Renal calculus.

     Cases from other systems of medicine respond well to medium potencies. I usually choose 30C. In sensitive patients,I use LM potencies to avoid unwanted aggravations. In acute fevers without organic changes, high potencies with frequent repetition are found effective and

recovery is rapid. In reversible changes like pneumonitis,osteomyelitis medium potencies are much useful. In injuries of recent origin, toothache, caries improve well with high potencies in frequent repetition.

     In functional disorders I start with medium (200 C) potency and go up whom improvement comes to stand still. I never repeat whom process of feeling well continues; I prefer low potency in more advanced pathological conditions. I use high potencies in Anxiety neurosis, Depression, Obsessive-compulsive disorders,
usually begin with 1M or 10M.Acute exacerbations of chronic disease like acute breathlessness with wheezing of chronic asthma, I use 50 millesimal potency of indicated medicine at repeated doses. Some times I prescribe Mother tinctures in drop doses.

     In acute conditions like fever, cold and cough, I generally start with 30C or 200C. I use higher potencies in acute painful conditions like neuralgias with frequent repetition.
While treating skin diseases Centesimal potency has the danger of aggravation, especially if the patient comes from allopathic treatment, I use 50 Milliesimal potencies. I consider susceptability of the patient sometimes, particularly with predominant mental generals with few physical symptoms; in such conditions I use 1M or 10M without much repetition.
