Plea for Model College at Chennai
 
 
 
Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council President Dr.R.Gnanasambandam requested the Central Government for allocation of more funds to Homoeopathy to the state of Tamil Nadu. He presented a memorandum to Dr.Anbumani Ramdoass, the honorable union Minister for Health stating “The state Government is running a college at Madurai Tirumangalam for under graduation level. So far its not upgraded to post graduation, as the state requires more funds. The proposal for model colleges by the central government may be considered for Tamil Nadu state. He also requested to aid the state government to set up a pharmaceutical division and a Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory, to southern states to need.

He also appealed both state and central government to provided an exclusion land allocation at the capital Chennai, all in one premises


Plea to fill the vacancies
 
 

Chennai, Nov 4. The students union of Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Tirumangalam has requested the Health Ministry to fill the vacancies at their college. The students union Chairman Antony and his associates met Hon’ble Minister for Health Thiru N.Thalavaisundaram and presented a memorandum. They also requested the minister to appoint a joint director for homoeopathy.


Ratio in Allocation of Funds
 
CHENNAI, Nov 25. Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic Association has insisted the union Government to fix a ratio in fund allocation for Homoeopathy. The president Dr.P.V.Venkatraman has sent a letter to the central Ministry and Department of Ayush stating that “Since the allocation of funds are under the heading of “Indians Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy” major funds are being utilized for the native system only. So the growth and support by the central and state government is being ignored for long time.

 
Crescendo - 2004
 
 

COIMBATORE, NOV 1. R.V.S Homoeopathic Medical College celebrated “Crescendo 2004” college day celebrations. Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, president, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council inaugurated the function and distributed prizes to the toppers. While addressing he advised the students to involve their studies with more dedication. The chairman of the Management Mr.K.V.Kuppusamy presided over the function. Advisor Dr.A.Tamaraiselvan introduced the chief guest.

Dr.G.pandian, principal presented the annual report and the secretary Mrs.H.Newman welcomed the gathering. The panchayat union Medical Officer Dr.A.J.Thomas, District Siddha Medical Officer Dr.Bala subramaniam and Principal of the R.V.S Homoeopathic Medical college also participated. The students presented the cultural feast “Cresento 2005” at the end of the ceremony.


Gets Shikshak Sadbavane award
 
 

Karnataka, Sep 26. Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Karnataka, has chosen Dr. S.S.Adi, homoeopathy faculty, for the Shikshak Sadbavane award, Vice Chancellor Dr. R. Chandrashekhar gave away the award to Dr. Adi in Bangalore recently. Dr. Adi is a homoeopathy practitioner and a professor at Dr. A.M. Shaikh Homoeopathic Medical College. He is the chairman of Dr. Adi Homoeopathy Healing and Research center located at Mahatma Gandhi Vishvastha Bhavan behind Hotel Sanman. -ENS


 
VHMC College Day Celebrated
 
 

Chennai, Nov 19. Venkateswara Homoeopathy Medical College celebrated their college day. Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, President of Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council honoured the function as chief guest and distributed the prizes to topper students. While addressing he advised the students to involve in their studies with more dedication. Mr.V. Arumugam Correspondent of Hahnemann Homoeopathic trust presided over the ceremony. Dr.Sakuntala, principal welcomed the gathering and presented

the annual report. Dr.Somnath Chatterjee, Vice principal, Dr.Mariarrputham former member of Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council, Dr.Mohemed Iqbal former Joint secretary of TNHA, and Dr. Sivanadian also participated. A programme was presented by students after the inaugural ceremony. A fascinating drama on variety of constitutional characters on Materia Medica was also brought as a live program to the audience by the faculty and students.


 
D.Pharm (hom) held

  Thirumangalam, Dec 22. The Written examination for D.PharmStudents started today at Govt Homoeo pathic Medical College. The board of studies chairman Dr.G.P.Hahnemann, the members Dr.Rajaram, Dr.Sugathan and Dr.Baskaran were present on the first day of the examination.

 
Need to popularise homoeopathy treatment stressed
 

HUBLI,OCT 12. Dr.B.T.Rudresh, president of Homeopathic Association Karnataka Unit, has stressed the need for popularising the importance of homeopathic treatment among the people. He was speaking after inaugurating a one-day convention of homeopathic doctors organised by Hubli branch of Homeopathic Doctors Association here on Sunday. Most of the people were not aware of homeopathy due to lack of awareness, he added.

He said there were no instances of failure of homeopathic medicine nor were there any side effects. Patients were often given homeopathic medicine as a last attempt to save their lives, which should be avoided. Homeopathic medicine had now become an effective tool for curing diseases like asthma, allergy, cancer and skin diseases, he added.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. G. B. Sattur said success of all methods used to cure diseases was dependent on faith and trust of the people.

He advised that, doctors should work in such a way that people should repose their faith in them and in the treatment they provide to cure their diseases. He explained about the treatment to be followed to prevent diabetic patients from suffering heart attacks. Dr. M. R. Srivatsan, Director of Rajiv Gandhi Health University and Dr. Veerabrahmachari, President of State Homeopathic Medical Board spoke. A book on ‘Skin diseases and homeopathic treatments’ was released. Dr. Sandeep S Kulkarni, president, Hubli unit, Dr. J. H. Timmegoudar, Dr. T. S. Mohankumar, Dr. H. O. Mrityun jaya, T. S. Mohankumar, Dr. Shastri math, Dr. R. T. Katkar and others were present.
