International Congress held at Switzerland

 

     LUZERNE.OCT.14: The 61st International Homoeopathic Congress of LMHI was held at Luzerne, Switzerland. The four days Congress was organized by the L.M.H.I. in association with Swiss Association of Homoeopathic doctors and International Association of Veterinary Homoeopathy. The scientific sessions witnessed the participation of nearly 900 delegates from 50 countries, 7 keynote presentations, 26 lectures and 45 presentations in the unique Open Liga Forum (OLF) by way of posters, working groups and one-to-one interactions.

     Dr. Yogesh Sehgal, Sanjay Sehgal, Dr.N.Srinivasa Rao, Dr.G.Srinivasulu, Dr. Sunit Shangloo Dr.Nagendran and Biradar presented papers representing India. The discussion in the scientific session was on the three elements – Case Taking, Selection of Remedy and observation of its effects. For the first time in Liga congress history, an innovative concept of Open Liga Forum was introduced for effective interaction among the speakers and participants.

     Dario Spinedi, Urs Steiner, Frank Nager, Torres Rene, Claudio, Fernando, Hansjorg, Stefan, Servais, Nicolas, Dietmar, Mattman, Monique, Petrucci, Antonella, Peter Kohl, Zafiriou, Hedwig Potters, Ilya, Szabo, Barben and Julia Dionova’s Lectures and Key notes were enlightening and gave a big intellectual feast to all the serious minded participants of the congress. The four day congress concluded with a warm farewell from the President of the Congress Dr.Clemens Dietrich and invitation to the 62nd Congress to be held at Mexico in 2007.-

HHMC Celebrated College day

     RASIPURAM.NOV.15: Dr.Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College celebrated College day at Expresso Areana “ Auditorium. Dr.N.Sunbramanian, Principal, welcomed the gathering and Dr.Kannan, vice principal presented annual report.

     Dr. R.Gnanasambandam, President, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council, presided over the function.K.Sundaramoorthy, Collector, Salem district, the chief guest of the function, inaugurated the ceremony.  After his speech he presented the awards to the champions expertising in the field. Dr.S.Sadasivam, Chief Medical Officer, Government Hospital felicitated the efforts.

     Mr. Venunathan,Mrs Indhumathi, Mr.C.K.Srinivasan, R.T Elango and S.Ramasubramani also participated. Dr.V.R.Naidu proposed vote of thanks. Students hosted a cultural event after the concluding ceremony.

CCH Election for Maharastra state declared
 
   

     Mumbai.NOV.10 : Central Council of Homoeopathy Election for Maharastra state declared today that Dr.Arun Bhasme, Dr.S.M.Desarda, Dr.V.R.Kawishwar and Dr.Ravi Bhosale had been declared elected with good margin of votes. Maharashtra Homoeopathy council Elector list has 39056 voters and 16843 votes polled. The returning officer, Vaidya Datta Kuune declared the result today.

     Dr. Arun Bhaseme elected with the margin of 10274 votes, Victory margin for Dr.S.M Desarda is 10210 votes, Dr.Kawishwar with margin of 10109 votes and 9964 voted for Dr.Ravi Bhosle. National leader, former Chief Minister Shri.Sharad Pawar, former Minister Kesharbai Kshirsagar, Dr.S.P.S.Bakshi, President of CCH and leading physicians greeted them.

TNHA Discussed CHIK fever
    MADURAI.OCT.29. General Body Meeting of the Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic Association Head Quarters held at Hotel North Gate. Dr. Veera Balaji Kumar, General Secretary, welcomed the gathering. Dr.P.V.Venkataraman, president, presided over the meeting. The association Head Quarters also discussed various clinical aspects on prevention and treatment for the epidemic outburst of Chickungunya fever.

 
Plea to open Dispensaries and Hospitals
     BANGALORE, NOV.13: President and Members of Karnataka Board of Homoeopathic system of Medicine insisted the government to open new dispensaries and Hospitals at Primary health Centers, Taluk Hospitals, District Head Quarters, Corporations, Municipalities and ESI dispensaries.

   Dr.Veerabramhachary, president and Members of the Board Dr.M.R.Srivatsan, Dr.Shastrimath,Dr.S.N.Hiremath, Dr.M.A Sharif, Dr.Zacharias J Abraham, and Dr.Venkar met and presented a memorandum to the state Minister Shri Ashok at the secretariat. The Board also demanded separate Directorate for Homoeopathy; appointment of qualified Homoeopaths as drug inspectors; opening of manufacturing unit in the state and expedite the filling of vacancies.

     Finally cases discussed with Prof.Sohan singh and other 13 pioneers in the field. Dr.R.D.Pavalan presented a topic on “Outline of standard case taking.

    Prof. Dr.Shanta Prabhu was the chief moderator on the second day workshop.

    Dr.P.C.Varma, Dr.V.N.Rao, Dr.Rajnichander, Dr.R.D.Pavalan, Dr.Anandi, Dr.Ugender Reddy, Dr.M.N.Chary, Dr.Pushpalatha, Dr.KrishnaPrasad, Dr.Musnoori Suresh, Dr.Chandeasekhar and Dr.Manohar Prasad participated as experts.

    This programe is the first national programe organized by Prof.Dr.B.Sohan Singh, Chairman: PG.Education Committee, central Council of Homoeopathy. Dr.O.V.Ramana,and Dr.A.Prakash,co organized the event.
 

 
TN Government holds discussion on CHIKV
     CHENNAI.NOV.21: The Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy discussed on fund distribution on Chikungunya prevention and treatment with Expert panel represented by Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council. Dr.R.Gnanasambandam , president and Dr.N.V.Sugathan, Executive Member of the council along with Dr. Mohamed Aleem, Dr.P.V.Venkataraman, Dr.N.R.Jayakumar hold discussions with Joint Director Dr.Swarnam Marriamal. The panel recommended to conduct free medical camps at District Head Quarters and Taluk Homoeopathic Dispensaries in conjunction with reputed Non Governmental Organizations.

     The panel also pleaded the council to recommend to open temporary dispensaries for at all primary and Taluk hospital to tackle Chickungunya . Mr.C.Saiprasad, Registrar and Soundararajan, Assistant Registrar were also present .

 
Interest Free Loan Scheme

  The Goa Government’s Interest Free Loan Scheme (IFLS) for students pursuing higher education will benefit more than 1000 students this year.
Majority of the applicants are those who have secured admissions in Indian engineering colleges. The rest are students in the field of homoeopathy, ayurveda, nursing institutes and other degree courses like computer applications, dentistry, business administration, pharmacology and biotechnology.


 
Preventive Medicines effective
  
       “Eupatorium Perfoliatum 200, Rhus Tox, as preventive of Chickungunya had benefited 8,000 people at Uppalam, Tuticorin district,” Says Dr. P.Subramanian. Rotary club in association with him organized an awareness program at A.B.S.Mahalakshmi women’s College and preventive medicines distributed to 800 students.

 
Scholarship
  

    Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Manmohan Singh gave away 33 scholarships to children of ex-servicemen, paramilitary forces and Railway Protection Force personnel, here today. The Prime Minister distributed certificates and cheques for the first six month period to these students of which 26 are pursuing BE /BTech Degrees, 2 each are doing MBBS and BDS and one each in fine arts, Homoeopathy and law.
