       In that line when we put the symptoms of Aurum met under different miasmatic headings – it shows a combination of all the three miasmatic symptoms. But here the syphilitic miasm is more dominant when compare to others. So aurum met can be called as “The anti syphilitic drug.”

The major syphilitic symptoms of Aurum met are

• Disgust of life, suicidal tendency, anguish increasing into self-destruction, indisposed to talk, indrawn, closed - introvert.
• Tendency to ulceration and caries of bones especially nose, palate, skull and mastoid.
• All complaints < at night
• Symptoms disappear after cold washing, wants doors and windows open, > open air
• Indurations and ulceration of glands, cartilages, internal organs (i.e.) uterus, cervix, tonsils etc.
• Discharges are foetid, thick.
• Affects the vital organs like heart, liver, lungs causing deep-seated affections.
• Arteriosclerosis- affects the blood vessels-leading to high B.P.
• Intense photophobia due to ulceration in the eye.
• Putrid smell from nose-ozaena.
  
  Affects the lymphatic glands in abdomen, neck, inguinal region etc.
