Keratitis is inflammation of cornea of the eye. When the inflammation extends to conjunctiva Keratoconjunctivitis occurs. The induration is mostly bacterial, viral and fungal origin. These infections are more prone to the contact lens wearers. Some times ultra violet rays may cause photokeratitis. Allergy also can indurate causing an “ Vernal Keratitis” An Ulcerative Keratitis, which is very frequently refered as “Corneal Ulcer” also a common problem of the eye. The symptoms are often very similar to those of conjunctivitis, an inflammation of the conjunctiva. The eye turns very red and there may be sensitivity to light, and the eye may feel uncomfortable. In the later stages of more severe cases, there can be strong pain, loss of vision / blurriness, and pus may form. Homoeopathic Medicines Belladona, Heparsulph,Merc sol, Aurum Mur , Arsenicum Album and Apis Mel are very helpful.
