Banging
Boy
A boy aged 5 yrs was brought to the clinic for severe restlessness and
irritability. As the mother started narrating the complaints a sudden
bang made everyone in the consulting room frightened as the boy threw
up a heavy paper weight that fell right on the consulting table just near
my assistant. It took few more minutes for my assistant to recover from
that bang. When I seriously questioned the boy who threw the paper weight,
he giggled and answered that it was his heroics. Mother smilingly said
that it was his routine. (The Tuberculinum boy is equally mischievous
but tries intelligently to hide his identity but Tarentula child openly
accepts and dares others to take action against him.) The boy was very
adamant, doesn’t listen to anyone and doesn’t care anybody.
He used to beat elders as well as younger and always loved to fight with
one or the other. He used to destroy the things or toys of his own or
others. Children in their joint family were scared of him. He had pica
for soap and balm. Other general condition was normal. He was full term
normal delivery baby and had mile stones reasonably normal. Psychologists
termed this as dyslexia and physicians called him as Hyperactive Attention
Deficit child. Had started with Tarentula Hispanica 10 M one dose and
in the past 5 years he was given up to CM and in between Tuberculinum
10 M as inter current whenever necessary. He first joined in a special
school but after two years he was shifted to normal school as he improved
a lot. Scholastically and behaviorally the boy is doing pretty good.

Hysteria
