Plea for More Fund Allocation
 
 
 

Chennai.Nov 27. Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council President Dr.R.Gnanasambandam requested the Central Government for allocation of more funds for Homoeopathy in the state of Tamil Nadu. He presented a memorandum to Dr.Anbumani Ramdoass, the honorable union Minister for Health stating “The state Government is running a college at Madurai Tirumangalam for under graduation level. So far as not been upgraded to post graduation, as the state requires more funds. The proposal for model colleges by the central government may be considered for Tamil Nadu state. He also requested to aid the state government to set up a pharmaceutical division and a Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Laboratory, to southern states to need.
He also appealed to both state and central government to provide a land exculsively at Chennai to accomdate all in one premises.

Marthandam, DEC 4. Saradha Krishna Homoeopathy Medical College, Kulasekaram organised a seminar Homoeosem2004 . The state Health Minister honourable Thiru N. Thalavaisundaram inaugurating the seminar said,” Kanyakumari District has more Homoeopathic Awareness. The efficacy of Homoeopathy has been proved recently in controlling the outbreak of Dengue fever. Over whelming response and efficacy had made the health official to open two temporary dispensaries. He also assured that very soon they would be converted to permanent hospitals.

He also said that “ Recently I visited Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Tirumangalam and now this saradha Krishna Homoeopathy Medical college. I appreciate both colleges for rendering good education and treatment “ The Minister also assured to take up the request to post a separate Joint Director for Homoeopathy. Various institutions and association and represented.

He distributed prizes to the college toppers. Hema Chandran MLA, Thiruvattar, Dr.Kishore Mehtha and Dr. R.Cherlin Mary felicitated the management. Dr.C.K.Mohan welcomed the gathering. Dr.Winton Vergheese and Dr.N.V.Sugathan, Member of TNHMC organized this seminar. Dr. M. Murugan proposed vote of thanks.


CME on Ophthalmic Disorders
 
 

RAJAHMUNDRY, NOV 21. The Indian Institute of Homoeopathic Physicians (IIHP) organised a special CME program on ophthalmic disorders. A audio Visual presentation by Ophthalmologist Dr.P.Gopi Krishna, the Homoeopathic therapeutic part was presented. Dr.K.S.N.Murthy. He covered the scope of Homoeopathy in ophthalmic Disorders. Dr. G. Sesha Kumar,
Dr. G. Sai Prasad, Dr.Pushpalatha Charles, Dr.Rajeswara Rao, Dr. K.R.N.B Kumar and Dr.Veeraya Dora participated in the open forum.

Dr.Sivamani, Principal of ARGH Medical College inaugurated the program and Dr.Y.Phaneendranadh presided over the function. District Secretary Dr.N.B.V.Tilak and his associates organized this program.


 
College day celebration
 
 

Tirumangalam, DEC 11. Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Tirumangalam celebrated the college day celebrations.
Mr. M.Jayaraman, Chairman, Backward class development corporation inaugurated the College day celebration. Dr.R.Gnana sambandam President, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council addressed the function.

Thoduvanam, a Tamil Journal published by the college students was released by the chief Guest who also distributed the prizes to the rank holders. Dr. V.C.Vydhilingam ,Principal welcomed the gathering; The students union chairman J.Anton Rosario presented the annual report. Vice principal Dr.T.K.Mohan Dass, Dr.P.R.Sekar, Dr.Sethumoni, Dr.Banu mathy, Dr.Uma, Dr.Murugesan, Dr.Sembulingam, Dr.Jayameera, Dr.Gnanasakaran, Dr,Murugan, Dr.Bhuvaneswari, Dr.Neelaveni, Dr.Kasthuri Bai, Dr.Deenathayalan, Dr.Hemamalini, Dr.Sudharsana and Dr.Radha also participated. A cultural feast was enacted by the students at the end of the program.


Synergy 2004
 
 

Rasipuram, NOV 27. Dr. Hahneman Homoeopathy Medical College hosted an intercollegiate sports and cultural meet in co sponsorship with The M.G.R.Medical University. Siddha, Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Naturopathy and many Homoeopathic Medical College students participated in the two days event.

The first day covered various events on sports. Dr.A.Nalini , Academic Officer,Dr.M.G.R.Medical University presided over the valedictory function which was held in the evening. H.M. Jayaram. Superindent of Police honoured the function as the Chief Guest. Mr.Krishna Raju, Principal of Vidhya Mandir School and V.Doss, Asst Academic Officer offered felicitation. A cultural meet was held on the second day. Dr.Gnanasambandam, President of Tamil Nadu Homoeo pathy Medical Council presided over the function. Mr.Padmanaban Registrar, M.G.R, Medical University was the Chief Guest on the occasion and distributed prizes to the winners of sports and Cultural activities. Dr.N.Subramanian, Principal of , Dr.Hahnemann Homoeopathy Medical College, Vice principal and CCH member Dr.V.Kannan and the faculty arranged the sports and cultural meet with overwhelming response from the students.


 
Health Awareness program
 
 

Katbadi, Dec 27. Pavithram a social organisation, conducted a “Health awareness and disease detection programme” in Ebenezer Aided Middle School in the memory of Dr.L.M.Joseph. . More than 900 children and their parents were examined along with teachers during the Homoeopathic health camp. A team of physicians headed by Dr. Joice Thilagam. and Dr.Venkatesan, Dr. Mageswari, Dr. Thirumaran, and Dr. Abirami offered free medicines and treatment. The secretary of Pavithram, Mr. R. Babu Senan took interest to conduct Homoeopathic medical camp at Katpadi, just to increase the homoeopathic awareness among rural areas.

Mr C.V. Chandra Mohan, Secretary Rotary Perungudi Branch,Mr. Kizhambu Sankara Subramanian, Editor Kalai Magal Chennai, took an active part in this awareness program. Mr Nishant organized these activities.
