In olden days, since we don’t have computers, it became essential for us to organize the information collected from the patients in to rubrics matching them with corresponding remedies and later published it as a book named Repertory in order to simplify the tedious process of finding the similimum. But still, with the repertory, the practitioner needs to spend time in going through the structure of rubrics and finding the remedies.

Now this modern world has entered the new era of computers applications. . Search of a rubric, comparison with other repertories, reference to Materia Medica and cross repertorization have become easy and non- time consuming.

Good homoeopathic software must include all the valuable repertories, books on Materia Medica and homoeopathic philosophy. In homoeopathic softwares, prompt search function will be available hence any desired repertory can be used to locate the matching rubrics easily.

But still, computers can only give back what is fed to it, hence proper Case taking according to principles of homoeopathy, Case analysis and final interpretation with level of relevance to case concerned are noted and done properly then a good programmed computer proves to be a very powerful and helpful companion to the homoeopathic physician.
