This month we visit Government Homoeopathy Medical College, Tirumangalam. In 1975 the college tooks its root at, Kilpauk, Chennai with diploma course and shifted to Tirumangalam, Madurai District. B.H.M.S awarded by the Madurai Kamaraj University and later Dr.MGR Medical University. Dr. K.S Santhana Pandian, Dr.S.Radhakrishnan, Dr.V.C.Vydhlingam,Dr.T.K.Mohandas, Dr.Devasagayam, Dr.P.R.Sekar, served as principal and now Dr.A.Gopalakrishnan continues his service. The college is located at Madurai District 453 km from the capital, Chennai and well connected with Air, Rail and bus routes. Now the intake is 50 students per year and post graduation is underway. The college is functioning under the Department of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy and registration is provided to the students by Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council.
