Introduction

       Dr.D.Senthil Kumar is a young and ardent homoeopathic practitioner, graduated from white memorial Homoeopathic Medical College, Atoor. He is a good academician and has dedicated his works on research in presenting clinical evidence. Here he presented a case of Hepatitis, which was very successfully treated with Chelidonium. He affirms that still more evidence on hepatitis is in progress.

       A young male patient aged 22 years with moderate build consulted me for Hepatitis. He was treated with allopathic medicines for 45 days; since he had not improved he approached me. I observed his eyes were tinted with yellow and nails also showed some degree. tongue showed a yellow mass with pasty salivation. He presented the following symptoms.

• Pain in abdomen with swelling in right hyphochronic region. < touch, pressure
• Clinical Evidence
• Vomiting bitter tasted yellowish fluid, immediately after drinking water.
• Pain in back.
• Loss of appetite
• Continuous mild fever with head ache
• Pale coloured stool with dark yellowish urination.
• General weakness with much tiredness
• Vertigo when walking
• Bitter taste in mouth with pasty saliva,
• He takes only hot food and hot drinks.

       He was diagnosed as Hepatitis patient falling under the Hepatitis B classification. The results for Hepatitis also confirmed with elevation in serum bilurubin levels and excretion of bile salts and pigments in urine

       Initially he had treatment from one family physician and he was referred to another general physician. The patient was scared, when the physicians conveyed that he needs hospitalization in city center and have to undergo many testls.

       They warned his relatives that scope for recovery also nor guaranteed.

He approached me with all investigation reports - Plate I
Based on the symptom similarity. I prescribed

Rx   1. Chelidonium 30 tds for five days.
       2. Chelidonium Q 20 drops tds for five days with half tumbler water

• All symptoms are reduced.
• Appetite good.
• No Nausea and vomiting.
• Mild yellow urination.
• Blood for serum Bilurubin also reduced to some extent

Rx   1. Chelidonium 30 tds for seven days.
       2. Chelidonium Q 20 drops tds for seven days

Better with all complaints

Rx   1. Chelidonium 30 tds for seven days.
       2. Chelidonium Q 20 drops tds for seven days

Better
1. Chelidonium 30 tds for 3 days
2. SL tds for 3 days

Patients was absolutely free from all complaints
The blood studies normal.
The test for HBs Ag also negative

The patient took the report to his family doctor and requested for second opinion. He advised to under go ELISA Method. That also was negative.

The results was reconfirmed at Mumbai once again in a reputed laboratory
