Homoeopathy roots the Disease
 

      BANGALORE, MAY 22: The Deputy Chief Minister Sri. Siddaramaiah Govt. of Karnataka inaugurated the Bangalore Homoeopathic Hospital and scientific seminar. Speaking on the occasion hestressed the need for widespread awareness of Homeopathy among the masses known for its efficacy in curing chronic diseases not to mention its cost-effectiveness. He assured us of opening Homeopathy units in all primary health centers of the state.

      Presiding over the function, Minister for Tourism, Sri. D.T. Jayakumar said that Homeopathy is in no way inferior to any other system as it has the potential to not only permanently cure diseases but also prevent them by enhancing the immune system. He added that while Homeopathy roots out the problem without side-effects, others merely suppress the disease.

      Dr. Parinaz Humranwala took over the stage for the scientific session. She spoke on Concept of temperaments. Dr.Ranjan Das organized this program. More than 400 delegates from all parts of southern region participated.


Quacks warned
 

      GULBARGA,JUNE.4: The State government has issued a stern warning to quacks who have been illegally practicing medicine. Deputy Director of the Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy, Dr Rama Rao, has warned that unregistered medical practitioners will be dealt with firmly as per the law.

      An official press release said it had come to the notice of the government that illegal medical profession was going on in Gulbarga and Bidar districts. Doctors registered with the Karnataka Medical Council, Karnataka Homoeopathy Council and Karnataka Ayurveda and Unani Medical Council alone are permitted to practice medicine.

Homoeopathy is safe without side effects
 

      BERLIN,MAY.3: The 60th Liga Medi corum Homoeopathica Internationalisconference was held at berlin, the capital of Germany. Prime Minister of India, Dr.Manmohan Singh in his message to the conference.

      “Discovery of Homoeopathy by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann of Germany proved to be a great boon for humanity for fighting against disease by strengthening the immunity of the body.

 

      The safety and efficacy of the Homoeopathic drugs and the absence of side effects had made it popular all over the world. As a holistic system of medicine it tries to address the conditions, which create health disorders, and therefore deals with the root of the problem. Even though Homoeopathy took birth in Germany, it has been accepted as one of the National Systems of Medicines in India.

      The widespread acceptability of Homoeopathic medicines among large sections of our population and its effectiveness and affordability has made it one of the most sought after systems of treatment. World over, there is upsurge of interest for homoeopathic medicines. It augurs well for humanity to have access to such drugs, which can provide us effective treatment without weakening our body. I am sure that this major International Conference will be an important step to promote Homoeopathy worldwide”

      VELLORE, MAY 29: Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council President Dr.R.Gnanasambandam thanked the Government for promoting homoeopathy. While addressing the seminar at Vellore organized by the Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic Association,vellore chapter he said” On behalf of Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council I express my thanks to the central and state government for allocating 3.82 crores for Government Homoeopathic Medical College. He also thanked the Health Minister, Secretary, and special commissioner for implementing progress steps in opening dispensaries and filling up the pharmacist vacancies.

      Dr.P.V.Venkatraman, president, Tamil Nadu Homoeopathic Association insisted the government on allocation ratio in dividing
the funds to homoeopathy. In the forenoon scientific program Dr.Mohamed Aleem presented an audio visual program on “Management of arthritis“ Dr.R.Gnanasambandam presented a case with visual impacts on “Dysplasia and Dynamism” In the afternoon session Dr.PV.Venkatraman lectured on Management of Acute Diseases. Dr.Sivaraman gave presentation on “Applied Organon“ and Dr.Sathyamoorthy spoke on “ ADHD “ Dr.Santhakumar, organizing secretary presided over the function. Dr. Thirumaran welcomed the gathering and Dr.Venkatesan, secretary proposed vote of thanks. Mohanapriya and Nisant were master of ceremony of this occasion. Dr.Joice Thilagam, and Dr.Bharat Kumar,Member TNHMC also participated.

Dr.Sampath Rao gets Gold Medal

      GULBARGA,JUNE.15: A well-known homoeopath and principal of the HKE Society Homoeopathy Medical College, Dr.P. Sampath Rao has been selected by the State Government for the ‘gold medal honours’ for his contributions to the field of homoeopathy system of medicine. The annual gold medal honour is given by the Directorate of the Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy of the Karnataka Government for the practitioners in Indian System of Medicines (Ayurveda, Unani, Naturopathy, Yoga, etc.) and Homoeopathy.


Organum 2005
 
 

      CALICUT, APRIL 10: “Organum 2005”, the seminar of Indian Homoeopathic Medical Association (IHMA) was hosted at Kadavu resorts. Dr. M.P. Prakash, CCH member and Asst Professor, Dept of Practice of Medicine, Government Homoeopathic Medical College, Calicut inaugurated the seminar.

      Dr. Prafull Vijayakar was the chief speaker of the seminar. He presented Hahnemann memorial speech on the second day. Dr. Valarmathi and Dr. V Sajeev Paulose presented short papers Dr.M. G. Oommen,the national president; Dr.Sreejeev, the secretary also spoke on the occasion. Dr.T.K.Harindranath, Chairman organizing committee welcomed the gathering and Dr.M.E.Prasanth Kumar, Director, extended the vote of thanks.


14 Homoeopaths honoured

 

      BHAGALPUR, APRIL 12: HOMOEO GAGAN Prakashan, a homeopathic medicine journal-publishing house, honoured fourteen homoeopathic medicine specialists here in a ceremony to commemorate the anniversary of Dr. Heinemann Medical specialists were urged to popularize the homoeopathic treatment, as it is inexpensive in comparison to allopathic treatment.

      Binay Kumar Gupta, chief editor of Homoeo Gagan, said that the medical profesionals from all over the state had been selected for popularizing alternative medicines of homeopathy. Earlier in his inaugural address, M.Q Towheed, formervicechancellor Of TMBU, said that homeopathic medicines had few side effects and were safe.

      Superintendent of Police Ravindran Shankaran also spoke in favour of homoeopathic medicines. However, he said that more research work was needed in this field to make it more popular and effective.

Registered Homeopaths in Norway
 

      OSLO, MARCH 14: Homeopaths have for the first time in history started using the title “Registered Homeopath” in Norway. After the introduction of a new law that positively regulates CAM in Norway the public register for CAM practitioners was introduced in June. The Norwegian Homeopathic Association (NHL) is still the only CAM association to be accepted into the register. Joining the newly established register is a first step towards statutory regulation.
