It was around 10am Dr.Vijay Bhatt, a well named academician, lecturer in Department of Materia medica picked us from Dr.R.P.Patel's “Dr.Hahnemann Museum”. He drove towards north, after 20 minutes, a building on left side with good look captured our eyes.Dr.Vijay Batt told that is “Baroda Homoeopathic Medical College”. The elegant look from outside with large area and lawn conveyed something special inside. Dr.B.Jaganatham, Principal, staff and colleagues gave a warm welcome to us.
The architect of the building is quiet inspiring. The three-storey building is well segmented on focusing central pith. We sat for few minutes in the well-furnished principal's room and then we visited the entire office, classrooms, different departments laboratories, library and the hospital.
While passing through the corridor we watched the glass doors were closed and we entered a noise-proof classroom. Principal introduced the Homoeo Times with a cordless mike. We watched the class equipped with audio visual aids and well furnished. Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, editor of Homoeo Times addressed the students and insisted their dedication in bringing Homoeopathy to mainstream in medical utility and also evidence based medicine.
The Dissection hall, Physiology laboratory, Forensic Laboratory and Pharmacy laboratories were well arranged and equipped with instruments and other facilities. The hospital facilities were also excellent and furnished to suit the modern taste. The dental out patient department, X-ray units and imaging studies also gave added information in regular requirement.
Besides the required amenities for a Homoeopathy medical college, the added beauty is construction and architect, which captured every one's eye. The elevation with three storey gave an elegant look and large lawn provided with natural vegetation.
