Vice Chancellor insists law on Anti Quackery

Dr. R. Sambasiva Rao, Vice chancellor, NTR University of Health sciences said “ Delhi Government proposed a n Anti Quackery bill, Similarly all states should enforce law on Quackery to eradicate the quacks in all system of medicine. He also advised the organizations to conduct seminars periodically on evidence based research papers. He suggested the Government to allow private sectors to open private homoeopathy medical colleges in AP state where only four government homoeopathy medical colleges are rendering service. Participating as Guest of honor Dr. K.R.K. Prabhakara Murty, National Secretary General of IIHP pleaded the Government to open more dispensaries.

Dr. R.Gnanasambandam presented a paper on “Vitiligo, “Thyroid Disorders” and a virtual tour program on Hahnemann. Dr.P.V.Venkatraman lectured on “Infertility’ and “Management of Acute diseases”. A quiz programe for the practitioners was conducted by Dr.Chandrasekar and Dr. Goumati. Dr. K.R.K. Prabhakara Murty chaired the forenoon session, and the afternoon session by Dr. N. Srinivasa Rao. Dr. M.D.V.Ramana Rao AP state president presided over the function and Dr. T. Kanakalingeswara Rao, the district president welcomed the gathering.


Government to integrate ISM and Homoeopathy with modern medicine
 

NEWDELHI, FEB.8. Health Minister Dr. Anbumani Rama doss said after inaugurating an international conference on Unani Medicine, organised by the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine that Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy would be made part of the modern medicine curriculum in the country while Government would make available one ISM doctor at each primary health center along with an allopath to integrate the two systems, Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss said, “We are trying to integrate ISM with the modern medicine. The beginning is being made at the primary health care center level where besides a modern system doctor, an Indian systems of Medicine and homoeopathy doctor would also be posted.” Efforts were also on to increase the number of ISM dispensaries under the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS), he said.

“In days to come, ISM would become part of curriculum in modern medical education in the country”, Dr.Anbumani Ramadoss said.


BAMU University Convocation
 
 

AURANGABAD,JAN. 29. The 46th Convocation of BAMU University was held at DKMM Homoeopathy Medical College premises. Postgraduate degrees were conferred to 105 students of S.K.H. Medical College, Beed, and DKMM Homoeopathy Medical College, Aurangabad. Union Minister Shri Sharad Pawar honoured this occasion as chief Guest; and Agricultural Minister with M.D. Scholar also graced the occasion. Prof.Dr.MahendraSingh inaugurated the convocation along with Dr.Lalit Verma, the secretary of central Council of Homoeopathy, Dr.M.R.Srivatsan Executive member of Central Council of Homoeopathy; the inspector of CCH Dr. S. R. Islam; Deputy advisors Dr. Alok Kumar and Dr. G. P. Titar; Dr. Champalalji Desarda, Dr. Arun Bhasme; dr. S. S. Kulkarni and Dr. J. D. Patil offered felicitation. Many stalwarts from Homoeopathic fraternity graced the function. Dr. S. M. Desarda, Principal and Dean Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad proposed vote of thanks.


 
Additional Director for Homoeopathy
 

CHENNAI,FEB.10. Tamil Nadu Health Minister Thiru.N.Thalavai Sundaram, answering to a question in Legislative Assembly, informed that the Government is considering to post a additional Director to Homoeopathy in Directorate of Indian Medicine and denied that there is no movement for separate Directorate for Homoeopathy.

 

‘Dubai international Homoeopathic conference 2005’
 
 

DUBAI,FEB. 6. The Homoeopaths of Emirates hosted ‘DUBAI INTERNATIONAL HOMOEOPATHIC CONFERENCE 2005’. This venture was undertaken to expand Homoeopathy in other Gulf Countries, Kuwait,Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Experienced and renowned practitioners from thirteen countries acknowledged this wonderful occasion. India was represented by Dr.S.P.S. Bakshi, president, Central Council of Homoeopathy. Dr.D.P.Rastogi, PG Director, Dr.Sudhir and the organizer of this great conference Dr.Esmail sait. Mr. Ulrike Kessler, Dr.Laurence Vanniekerk, Dr. Sossie Kassab from united kingdom presented their contributions. The Government authorities appreciated all topics especially about Cancer, Behavioral disorders, HB sag etc. Mr. Ahmed Bin Saleh, Director of Medical Licensing promised to start Homoeopathic Medical College. Dr. K.P. Hussain the president of the seminar welcomed the gathering. Many delegates from India and abroad participated this seminar.


 
Homoeopathic World Medical Congress at Berlin
BERLIN,FEB.6. 60th congress of the Liga Medicorum Homeopathica Internationalis is to host a World conference in Berlin. In addition to the extensive scientific program, LIGA is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the birth of Samuel Hahnemann. The venue is BCC (Berlin Congress Center) situated in the heart of Berlin. Papers and Poster presentation have been received from over 40 experienced practitioners of many countries.

India represents for paper presentation by Prof. Diwan Harish Chand , Dr.D.P.Rastogi, Prof. Dr. Dhan Prakash Rastogi,Dr. R. K. Manchanda Dr. Pawan Pareek and poster presentation by Dr. E. S. National Homoeopathy Seminar at Kolkata
KOLKATA,NOV.21. A National Homoeopathic Seminar was hosted by NVS Bio Research at kolkata. Dr.Anand prasad presented a paper on sterility; Dr.Girish Gupta on Fibroid; Dr.Prabhkar Shetty on Diabetic foot Gangrene and Dr.Goyal on Tuberculosis.
Dr. Ramjee Singh Vice president, CCH inaugurated the function and Dr.Mahendra Singh was the Guest of honour. The awardees were Dr.Subas Singh, Dr.Banerji and Prabhkar shetty. a consolation prize also was awared to Dr.Anand Prasad.

PG Seminar at Chennai

CHENNAI,FEB 19. Ahmedabad Homoeopathic Medical College hosted two days seminar for the post graduate at Hotel Deccan Plaza,Chennai. Dr.Kapoor lectured on diathesis and constitution with therapeutic hints. He also discussed elaborately on knerr Repertory traveling over forty-eight chapters. Dr.Kasad a senior physician of Mumbai enlightened the theory of miasm, susceptibility and vismedicatrix.Dr.D.P.Rastogi, Post Graduate Director taught on types and evaluation of repertories. A interactive session also followed. The inaugural session began with silent prayer in memory of Ex principal Dr.Ahalpara who suddenly demised recently. Dr.D.P.Patil principal, AHMC welcomed the gathering. Dr.Ravindran, the organizer of this seminar proposed vote of thanks.
