Spasmodic dry irritative cough like whooping cough. Paroxysms which follow one another rapidly.Sensation of a feather in larynx which excites cough. Sense of constriction and crawling in larynx. Cough very deep and hoarse, worse after midnight. Spasmodic cough with gagging ,retching and vomiting. During cough there is vomiting of water ,mucus and often bleeding from nose and mouth. Violent tickling in larynx brings on cough makes the patient get up from sleep coming on every few hours.
Character of Sputa:- Usually there is no expectoration .But when there is expectoration the sputa is yellowish or greenish.
Modalities:< after midnight, by warmth ,talking, speaking ,lying down as soon as head touches the pillow.
Dr Hahnemann advised that only a single dose of 30th potency cures within 7-8 days and not to repeat which spoils the cure.
