I have treated a case of chronic eczema of fifteen years duration on the
dorsum of both the foot of a retired professor who was a typical perfectionist.
He had severe itching, which was ameliorated by warm saline wash. Whenever
he comes he was always in time. He used to complain that the newspapers
and magazines placed in my waiting room are not in order. He used to place
them in order. On his every visit he had something to point out in my
clinic and he himself corrected it before leaving the clinic. I repertorised
his case with the rubrics concentration, carefulness, cautious fastidiousness;
rest cannot when things are not in proper place. Arsenicum Album was selected
and prescribed from 30th and 200th at long interval. His eczema was totally
cured within six months.

A patient aged 24 years came to my clinic for fever since one week. His
mother told that "he comes home after his daily works were over and
was just lying in bed and was shouting loudly and moaning and at others”.
When I asked what the moaning consisted of, she said that he moans that
he cannot go to his daily work tomorrow and she added that his son haven't
slept for more than four hours per day in this week and all the night
he was constantly talking. I asked the patient that why cannot he take
a leave from his job for a day, he said that it is only because he wants
to do his own works. My prescription was Arsenicum album, 200C followed
with placebo. Next day evening the patient came to my clinic, entered
inside with a pleasant smile and thanked me very much for helping him
to go for his work.
