Plan to open NRHM Dispensaries

   CHENNAI.FEB19: Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Medical Council requested central and state Government to sanction more Homoeopathy Dispensaries under NRHM scheme. Governing body meeting for NIS held at National Institute for Siddha, Chennai. Shri S.Jalaja, Secretary, Department of AYUSH, Thiru.B.Anand, Joint secretary Department of AYUSH , Thiru V.K.Subburaj, Principal Secretary, Department of Health , Government of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. G.A.Rajkumar, Principal secretary and Director, Department of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy, Dr.Boopathyraj, Director, NIS and other officials participated in the meeting. A special meeting with AYUSH systems also arranged after the meeting. Homoeopathy system was represented by Dr.T.K.Mohandass, Principal, Government Homoeopathy Medical College and Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, President, TamilNadu Homoeopathy Medical council and    Dr.PV.Venkataraman, Member, Drug Standardization Committee, CCRH.

The council has requested the Department of AYUSH and Government of Tamil Nadu to open dispensaries at all primary Healthy Centers under NRHM scheme. The council also urged the government to open a regional drug testing laboratory at Chennai for southern states and appoint Homoeopathy Doctors as Drug Inspectors. The council also requested the government to open a 100 bed hospital at Chennai.

LUCKNOW.DEC.26: The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India presented its 16th congress at Lucknow. Sri.Rajesh Tripathi, Honble Minister for state, Medical Education, Minister for Homoeopathy, Govt of Uttar Pradesh inaugurated the congress. Dr. S.P.S.Bakshi, president, Central council for Homoeopathy presided over the function. Dr.Bhaskar bhatt, Secretary General, HMAI also participated. Sri Rajesh Tripathi inaugurated the three day congress and offered flowers to the founder Dr.Samuel Hahnemann .

    He also released souvenir, The scientific sessions discussed various topics. Role of homoeopathy in pregnancy was presented by Dr.Daryani. “Steriods and Homoeopathy" was discussed by Dr.S.P.S.Bakshi, Dr.Chatubuja Nayak, Director, Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy highlighted the Clinical research Dr.Munir Ahmed discussed on “Admissions in homoeopathy colleges” The topic “Tubercular diathesis” was discussed by Dr.Bilap kundu, Dr.Subas Singh presented “Diabetes and its Homoeopathic approach", Dr.B.T.Rudresh spoke on “Infertility and Homoeopathy"

    The valedictory session was chaired by Sri.Harbhajan Singh IAS, secretary for Medical education, Govt of Uttarpradesh. Finally the congress declared that Dr.S.P.S.Bakshi as the president and Dr.Bhaskar Bhatt as the secretary general of HMAI for another term.

    Smt. S. Jalaja IAS has been appointed as secretary to Department of AYUSH recently following retirement of Ms Anita Das, IAS. She has held various senior positions both in the State Governments of Bihar and Kerala as well as Government of India including Principal Secretary (Urban Development); Secretary (Mines and Mines Commissioner), Bihar; Additional Secretary (Personnel), Secretary (PHED), Govt. of Bihar; Additional Secretary (Health), Govt. of India; Joint Secretary, National Human Rights Commission etc.
 
Joint Secretary - Shri. B.Anand IAS
   Shri B.Anand IAS, has been appointed as Joint secretary to the Department of AYUSH Over 21 years of experience as an IAS officer in different departments of the State Government of Tamil Nadu and Government of India at New Delhi, he has held various positions like Municipal Commissioner, Madurai; Deputy Municipal Commissioner, Chennai; District Collector & Magistrate, Ramanathapuram; Joint Commissioner (ENF), Commercial Taxes, Chennai; Director, Handlooms & Textiles, Chennai; Member Secretary, State Finance Commission; Commissioner, Town & Country Planning, Chennai and worked as Director in the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Department of Higher Education, Government of India, New Delhi dealing with NCERT, UGC, Educational Policy, Administration, International Cooperation and UNESCO.

 

 
Women's Homoeopathic Scientific Seminar 2009
 
    KANPUR:FEB.1: Women's Homoeopathic Organization organised its second National Women's Homoeopathic Scientific Seminar 2009” at Ragendra Swaroop Centre for Performing Arts, Kanpur. Shri Sri Prakash Jaiswal Union Home Minister State inaugurated the seminar and garlanded Dr. Hahnemann’s portrait. Mr. Himanshu Kumar IAS, IG., lighted the Wisdom Lamp.

    Shri Sri Prakash Jaiswal. Released the Souvenir and launched the website. The scientific sessions started after the inaugural session. Dr Vishpala Parthasarathi, Editor, National Journal on Homoeopathy presented her speech on “Efficiency of Homoeopathic Medicines in different stages of Pregnancy and Delivery”.Dr. Purnima Shukla Gorakhpur spoke on “Role of Homoeopathic constitutional medicines during anti natal care”. Dr. Sumana K. Panda from Bhuvaneshvar spoke on “Efficacy of Arnica Montana in controlling haemorrhage and placenta previa. Management of pregnancy with constitutional medicines.Dr Mamta Mani,Lucknow spoke on “Role of homoeopathy in anti natal depression.” Dr Praveen K Jaiswal spoke on “Chocolate cyst”.

    President Dr P. Mishra , Smarak Samiti Kanpur, distributed the awards to the 2008 toppers of Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Rajkiya Homoeopathic Medical College, Kanpur.

     MELPURAM:FEB:3: Mrs.Leemarose MLA inaugurated the new building for the Homoeopathy wing in Tamil Nadu Government primary Health Centre, Melpuram, Kanyakumari District, constructed under MLA fund. Dr.J.Anuradha, Asst Medical Officer - Homoeopathy welcomed the gathering. The Deputy Director for Public Health Dr.A.V.Ralphselin and Dr.S.Mohan Singh District Siddha Medical Officer presided over the function.
