Dr.S.P.Koppikar passed away |
  CHENNAI.APRIL.15.
Dr.S.P.Koppikar, the renowned physician, very
senior homoeopath passed away at 10.45 am at
his residence located at Tambaram, Chennai.
He is 93 years old and rendered 75 years to
homoeopathy.
His funeral took place in
Tambaram on 16th, at 11 am after a funeral procession
attended by the physicians, Students and his
relatives. Homoeopaths from different parts
deeply mourned and paid their final tributes
over telephone and messages.
Dr.K.H.M. Akbarsha, Dr.K.Manikavel,
Dr.Mohamed Aleem, Dr.P.V.Venkataraman, and Dr.R.Gnanasambandam
attended the funeral. Dr.Chaterjee, Principal,
Venkateswara Homoeopathy Medical College, Dr.Cheramannan,
Principal, Sri Sairam Homoeopathy Medical College,
Dr.G.Suresh, Principal Nethra Homoeopathy Medical
College, Dr.V.N. Rufus, Principal, RVS Homoeopathy
Medical College paid their tributes to the departed
soul.Dr.Jeyesh Sanghavi, Dr.Sakuntala, Dr.Saraswathy,
Dr.Kumaresan, Dr Vasudevan, Dr. M Ravindran,
Dr.Jo Mathews, Dr. Ashwin kumar, Dr. Khushali
P.Gambhir also attended.
He served as president of
Tamil Nadu Homoeopathy Council for fifteen years
and served as member in many bodies constituted
by the union government. He authored many books
and articles and was also editor for Homoeopathic
Heritage.
He survived his wife Dr.Malini
Koppikar, who passed away few years back. He
is survived by son Subhash; two daughters Shyamala
and Nirmala.

AP Government hosted workshop on Maternal and Child health
|
|
HYDERABAD, MARCH 2008: The Department of AYUSH,
Government of Andrapradesh organized a state workshop
on “Homoeopathy for healthy mother and happy child"
at I.I.C.T. Auditorium, Habsiguda, Hyderabad. It was a
congregation of Homoeopathic physicians, Allopathic doctors,
social scientists and representatives of various Non-Governmental
organizations.
The workshop was inaugurated by Smt.Panabaka
lakshmi, Union minister of Health and family welfare.
Sri. Vanama Venkateswar Rao, State Minister of Andra Pradesh,
Vaidya Vidhana Parishad was the Chief Guest to the occasion.
Dr.Vijaykumar, Director of AYUSH; Dr.Narasimham.GGK, Principal,
J.S.P.S.Homoeo Medical College; Dr.S.P.Singh, Director,
AYUSH also participated the inaugural session. Souvenir
C.D was released and felicitations to Dr.Kutumba Rao,
Dr.Krishna Choudary and Dr.G.L.N.Sastry held during the
inaugural session.Dr.Babbar, Dr. Parveen, Dr. Baig, Dr.
K.S. Sairam, Dr.M.A.Rao, Dr.T.Rohini Dr.T.Sudhakar Reddy,
Dr.Narasimham.GGK, Dr. G. Srinivasulu Dr.Vijaya Lakshmi,
Dr.Asha kuchhe and Dr. Vasuprada Kartic presented their
lecture with audio visual aids in the two day sessions.
The workshop concluded with resolutions
of the workshop and ended with valedictory function.

HMAI remembers Founder of Homeopathy |
HIMPHAL, APRIL 10: The founder of Homoeopathy
Dr Samuel Hahnemann was remembered on his 253rd birth anniversary
at State guest house today under the aegis of the Homeopathic
Medical Association of India, Manipur.
Speaking on the occasion as chief
guest, Health and Family Welfare Minister Ph Parijat said that
homoeopathic system of treatment does not cost much and it can
cure many diseases for good. However, people have limited awareness
on this natural method of treatment, rued Parijat while highlighting
the importance of creating awareness among the people about homoeopathy.
In his presidential speech, Dr M Nara remarked that Dr Hahnemann
was one of the front runners in the history of medical revolution
He further appealed to the State
Government to establish a separate AYUSH hospital so that people
of the State can benefit from homoeopathic method of treatment.
When the homoeopathic methods of treatment are becoming popular
because of its ability to cure chronic diseases without causing
any side-effect at a minimum cost, some homoeopathic doctors are
deliberately making the treatment costly.

Tamil Nadu organizes state workshop on Mother and Child Care |
CHENNAI.
MARCH. 27: Government of Tamil Nadu organizes a state
work shop on Homoeopathy for Healthy Mother and Child Care. Thiru
Rajkumar, Special Commissioner and Director for Indian Medicine
called for a preliminary meeting. The state task force and other
committees are formed in the meeting. The committee planned to
conduct, inviting all homoeopaths and students in the state sensitizing
with allopathic system and non governmental organizations. The
workshop will be held in the month of July.

Hahnemann’s birthday at Hotel Gautam Grandly. Dr.
Omkar Singh, President, welcomed gathering. Dr. S. P.
Singh, Dr. B. B. Singh spoke on Hahnemannian contribution
to the world. The Political personality Shyamdeo Rai Chawdhary
was the chief guest. Hardeo Singh, former Nigam Commissioner,
Varanasi delivered the presidential address.

VHMC Correspondent
passed away |

Er Arumgam,
Correspondent, Venkateswara Homoeopathy Medical College,
Chennai passed away on 21st, April, 2008 at 3 pm following
cardiac arrest. Homoeopaths and students paid their tributes
took a funeral procession. He lived with his wife one
son and two daughters. His daughter Dr.Sakuntala is an
eminent Homoeopath practices
at Chennai.

Maidagin in 10th April. The Chief Guest of the ceremony
was ADM Sri Awasthi. Dr. J. N. Singh Raghuvansi, President,

series of health camps every month at different places
of Varanasi mandal.
