World Homoeopathic Day Celebration and Public Awareness Program on Infertility held at Music Academy, Mini Hall on 11th April 2010. Hahnemann’s birthday 10th April has been celebrated as World Homoeopathic day all over the world since last few years. Central council for Homoeopathy also requested the colleges and organizations to commemorate the birth anniversary celebrations as World Homoeopathic day.

AKP Homoeopathic Clinical Research center and Homoeo Times Journal jointly organized the World Homoeopathic Day celebration and Public Awareness Program on Infertility “Fertility 2010” Dr.A.S.Manikavel, Managing Director, Mercury Nursing home presided over the inaugural session.Thiru.Naresh Gupta IAS, CEO and Addl Chief Secretary inaugurated the Public Awareness Program by lighting the kuthuvizhakku.

Homoeopathy is well accepted in Northern states of India, but Tamil Nadu needs more awareness.

Dr.Eswar das on addressing the gathering “Homoeopathy is widely practiced around the world and recognized as a second largest system of treatment. Homoeopathic medicines are free from side effects. In India nearly 184 Homoeopathic Medical Colleges teaches homoeopathy and offers degrees to around 20,000 doctors every year. Government of India, introduced telemedicine in north eastern states. Now in Tripura telemedicine centers had been launched recently. Government of India has taken much initiative to promote Homoeopathy through Mother and Child care. Many states had launched their campaign on Mother and Child Care. Awareness of Homoeopathic treatment in many state of North is good but the southern states need more awareness.

The inaugural session was followed by the Public Awareness Program. Dr. Savitha spoke on “Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease and Infertility" She illustrated with few successful cases of Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease who gave birth to child. Dr.D.Manju on “Thyroid Disorders and Infertility”, Efficacy of Homoeopathic treatment in management of Hypothyroidism, Hyperthyroidism and Goitre demonstrated with simple understanding. She presented few successful stories who were infertile.

Dr.S.Jagadha spoke on “Efficacy of Homoeopathy in Infertility” with case stories of uterine fibroids. Dr.S.Monalisa enlightens her speech on “Interpersonal problems of females in infertility” which focused the counseling part on women. Dr.P.Mukundan made his presentation on “Masculinity and Sperm Disorders”. He discussed various aspects on masculinity problems and disorders on sperm morphology.

Dr.R.Gnanasambandam, presented his speech on “Sperm Disorders and infertility.” He illustrated a successful case on Oligospermia, cysts, and varicocele disorders and Dr. P.V.Venkatraman vibrated the couples with inspiring speech on “Interpersonal problems of males in infertility” An open forum with the couples held at the end of the session. Various factors on infertility were discussed with the speakers. 82 couples attended the program.Selvi V.J.Niranjana Bharathi proposed vote of thanks.Selvi. V.J Janani anchored the Public Awareness Program AKP Homoeopathic Clinical Research Center has hosted a Public Awareness Program and a workshop “Fertility 2009” at Anna Institute of Management. The awareness program was attended by 25 couples; at an out set five had conceived. This year the organization has focused only the public for creating the waves of awareness that enrolled with 82 couples.
