Dr.S.P.S.Bakshi |

Dr.
Satinder Pal Singh Bakshi is the President of the Central Council
of Homeopathy. He is well known to everybody as “Dr.S.P.S.Bakshi”.
He has been graduated from the popular institution Nehru Homeopathic
Medical College, New Delhi. Dr. S.P.S. Bakshi remained the elected
Vice Chairman of the Board of Homoeopathic system of Medicine, New
Delhi from 1986 to 1992 for two terms. Consequent to his hard work,
he has been re-elected as the President of the Central Council of
Homoeopathy till date.
He
has contributed for public awareness through talk shows on Doordarshan
and All India Radio. He has contributed articles in scientific Journals
and presented papers in national and international seminars.

He
was a former Member of the Governing Body of the National
Institute of Homoeopathy, Kolkata; a former Member of the
Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Committee, is presently an active
Member of the Advisory Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia Committee
under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the
existing Chairman of the Advisory Board of Health and Family
Welfare Department constituted by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh.
In addition, Dr. S.P.S. Bakshi has been taking special interest
in organizing short term Orientation Training Programs for
Teachers of Homoeopathic Medical Colleges in various parts
of the country, including the Northeast regions.
Under
Dr. Bakshi’s esteemed leadership the homoeopathic
fraternity has witnessed.
Phenomenal
increase in the number of Homoeopathic Medical Colleges
in the country, for under-graduates, from 94 in 1986 to
164 as on date. Hundred percent increase in the number of
Homoeopathic Medical Colleges for PG Courses in the Country
from 7 in 1986 to 19 till date.
Rationalization
of the Homoeopathic education for meeting the present
day requirements by submission of approval to the Central
Govt. regarding the amendments to the syllabus of the
Diploma, Degree, Graded Degree and P.G. Courses in Homoeopathy
along with formulation of the “Minimum Standards
of Education Regulations”. He has received more
than 22 awards & 78 felicitations till date.
